Local Native

Tribal prints have made their appearance here and there recently and are nothing new, but lately, this trend is popping up everywhere I turn. And I'm not going to lie, I kinda like it...

Monday Mild Obsession: American Apparel Carry-All Pouch

These bags from American Apparel have been all over lately and I'm loving their simple yet versatile style. They are available in medium ($45) or large ($58) with different color options - awesome price, no? I am just deciding on whether I should go with the black or tan. I adore how the large black version is styled in the first photo below:

Earmarked

A few things I'm loving this past week:

{ DIY spray painted bottles }

{ if I had a little girl her room might resemble this }

{ can you ever have too many layers? }

{ cute printed cake slice to-go containers = brilliant invention }

{ hanger + awesome words }

{ sunrise }

Goosebumps

I've always been a fan of Richard Avedon's portraits. Then I stumbled across this photo yesterday. Could she be anymore breathtaking?

Hope you cats have a wonderful weekend. I don't know about you, but this time change (yes, two weeks ago) has had me all out of sorts. Promise to post more consistently come Monday...

Typography Love

And how kick-ass are these? In lieu of holiday cards, this Minneapolis-based strategic design firm sent Valentine matchboxes to give their friends "a gift that would spark inspiration and re-energize the love for what they do". Imagine how fun it would be to receive one of these bad boys. I would feel inspired just being their friend.

Monday Mild Obsession: Striped Walls

I don't know why but every year when Spring hits, I am crazy about stripes. They are so simple and classic but have the power to make such a bold statement, in fashion and interiors alike.

If we owned our own place I would definitely do this. However, the aspect of painting the stripes myself is a little intimidating. For instance, last month this painting project became a DIY that turned bad (don't even ask) and it's size is quite the small fraction of an entire wall. Regardless of the labor of love aspect (if you do it yourself), striped walls can be such a fun accent to any room or home - as subtle or wild the color you choose - and the finished result is by far definitely worth the work.

Keep Dreaming

Oh, there is just too much interior goodness out there. Here are some things I am coveting as of late:

{ daybed + neutrals }

{ trough sink + herringbone wood floor }

{ perfect pantry }

{ cozy corner }

{ studded headboard }

{ polished chairs }
