No matter the season, I always tend to gravitate towards neutral tones when it comes to my wardrobe. Lots of grey (heather grey is my absolute FAV), white, black and beige. I know, I know - super boring. But this is why I have completely fallen for this neon/nude trend. Such a great way to update some of your basics and its just a splash of fun. Think I'll start small with the nail polish.

Since featured in Styled months ago, I cannot get this image out of my brain when I see sprinkles. And since then I have been allured to all sorts of treats embellished with the colorful adornments. Whether it be delectable strawberry milk whoopie pies or a glorious funfetti cupcake, everything tastes better with sprinkles.
And how fun is this inexpensive way to spruce up a candle?
Quite simply put, I cannot get enough of Food Gawker. As you may know, I'm not much of a cook (mostly because I think I am just intimidated), but the endless drool-worthy photos on this site make me want to get in the kitchen and work it.
Could not be more infatuated with the color palette in the restoration of this Ohio 1890's German Village house. The combination of the modern creamy whites with aged dark woods and industrial accents is quite dreamy...
I particularly enjoy design and the way it can affect people. I love the story in an old piece of furntiture or the way a photograph or painting can evoke emotion instantaneously. I love the art of entertaining. Working with my hands. Arts and crafts. The beauty in creating a space and a feeling. Making a house a home. Being Crafty McCrafterson on a laid-off budget (even though I am no longer laid-off). And appreciating life's beauties and simplicities as often as possible...
