I have been trying to figure out what to do with our dining room table for some time now and came across this awhile ago. Here our table is now after a trip to the flea market and $8 later...




You could even save your old wine bottles, Goo Gone the labels, and be all set for literally nothing but the price of a few candlesticks.

S'more Bars

Every football season we get all of our friends together and Sky makes up a huge batch of his delicious homemade chili for a little get together. Maybe all the amazing summer-like 70 degree weather in San Diego inspired me this year, but I decided to go with S'more bars for dessert. After finding this super easy recipe online, I tackled it the morning of and they turned out pretty darn tasty. I will warn you though - they were a little messy (lots of graham crumbs) and would probably taste AMAZING warm out of the oven. But even after I cooled them in the fridge and they were soft enough to eat, we all enjoyed thoroughly. :)

And as you will see below, I was TOO BUSY to even take a picture of the final product! Oh well. At least you get the idea.

Monday Mild Obsession: Bella Figura

Last week I came across the most adorable eco letterpress company ever. They offer a multitude of customizations for your invites, envelopes and personal stationary (at no extra cost) with a true artisan feel. And as beautiful as their designs are, it is incredible to learn that they not only just use only non-tree paper and soy based ink for their paper goods, they are 100 percent wind powered by Native Energy. Yes, wind powered. Very cool.

Even cooler that their quality looks impeccable and their designs are absolutely gorgeous. A few of my favs:

Monday Mild Obsession: West Elm Terracotta Table Lamp

After antiquing with the bestie over the weekend, we swung into West Elm to peruse their holiday sale items. I immediately spotted this lamp. I. NEED. TO. HAVE. IT. I already told Sky one will be finding a home in our living room.



Before their Fall 2010 collection, I was feeling West Elm's stuff was getting a little stale. My opinion has definitely changed. LOVING what I was seeing in store (great textiles, vases, prints) this weekend and it made me oh so ready for spring...
